A photographer takes Finnish forest animals as professional models

Helsinki artist Joachim Münter invites us to visit the fabulous and picturesque Finland with the help of his magnificent photographs. Looking at his portraits of local forest animals, you feel an amazing connection with the objects of shooting, now and then you want to pinch yourself to make sure that this is not a dream.

Munter’s work is even more surprising after you find out how short his relationship with the camera is. "I started taking pictures about 10 months ago, - says the artist. - I was interested in landscape photography, but gradually I became more interested in wildlife. I found her more challenging and fun. ".

At first glance, the animals look like they were trained in posing. From a curious fox to a hungry squirrel - all of Munter's “models” look very natural and seem to feel completely comfortable in front of the lens. "In wildlife photography, the most important thing is to gain the trust of animals. It is important, in my opinion, not to chase animals. You just need time and patience, let the animal feel comfortable next to you."
