Constanse Hotels & Resorts Opens Hotel in Zanzibar on Pemba Island

The chain of hotels Constance Hotels & Resorts first sets foot on the island of Pemba, located on the Zanzibar archipelago. Starting from January 1, the hotel group will open the 8th condominium - Constance Aiyana, which promises to be an oasis of luxury and tranquility, spread among lush vegetation. The new diamond in the collection will allow the Constance Hotels & Resorts brand to shine even brighter in the Indian Ocean, where the group already has hotels in Mauritius, Seychelles, Maldives, Madagascar, and now in Zanzibar.

The new Aiyana Hotel is a materialized vision of the famous Mauritian landscape designer Ashok Sungkur, who offers to escape for a short time from reality. It took Ashok eight years to bring the idea to life, using materials of local origin and the help of local artisans in the construction. This approach to work is perfectly combined with the principles of the Constance Hotels & Resorts chain, which always guarantees a respect for the environment in all its possessions. The new five-star hotel was built around an extraordinary, ever-blooming garden bordering the turquoise waters of the ocean. The secluded and cozy atmosphere of the hotel, consisting of 30 villas, is designed to emphasize the beauty and main wealth of the island of Pemba, as well as its inhabitants. His concept of natural luxury, corresponding to the human idea, is fully consistent with the main motive of the group "True Natural Beauty".

“The opening of Constance Aiyana will mark the beginning of our presence in the region and position us as a landmark for luxury hotels in the Indian Ocean. This new diamond also enriches our offer and allows us to enter new markets and customers who are looking for a new extraordinary experience.", said Jean-Jacques Valle, CEO of Constance Hotels & Resorts.

From January 1, 2018, Aiyana will begin a new chapter under the leadership of the managing company Constance Hospitality Management Ltd, which will strive to maintain and strengthen its reputation. The hotel will replenish the Constance Hotels & Resorts portfolio and become part of the category that includes the hotels Constance Prince Maurice, Constance Lemuria and Constance Halaveli. Barbara Elkaz will lead the team responsible for implementing the idea with the elegance she deserves. So far, Barbara has served as Managing Manager at Constance Halaveli, having also worked at Constance Moofushi and Constance Belle Mare Plage. Nine years with the group will allow Barbara to incorporate Constance Hotels & Resorts' DNA "into the new ownership.
