Abandoned hotel in the Alps, not inferior in luxury to existing hotels

A few months ago I postponed one post for you, dear friends. I decided to hide it in the New Year mood :)

I will tell you honestly, I have never seen such splendor and luxury in abandoned buildings. But this is Europe, and here it is in the order of things. There are no owners, no protection either, but still no one will even look inside, although you just have to open the evacuation door and you're inside! The luxurious Maribell hotel complex has been idle in the Austrian Alps for more than 9 years. The last guests rested here in the happy 2007th. With the disappearance of the owners, everything here has been preserved in its original form. The chic rooms of the hotel are filled with handmade furniture, armchairs with expensive upholstery, as in museum palaces, paintings depicting the city’s landscapes, painted in oil, and many other attributes of luxury.

The hotel complex consists of 4 buildings. However, this is not quite a hotel in the usual sense, rather, a luxury sanatorium. In addition to the usual residential part, there is a luxurious dining room, a banquet hall, a bar, a tourist equipment rental point, a medical building with healing baths, baths, yoga rooms, solariums and many treatment rooms. All furniture, all equipment, bicycles, camping equipment, everything was preserved in its original form. The beds are covered with snow-white sheets, the light works, but the water supply does not work, the kitchen is filled with shelves with bottles of long-term wines and other elite strong alcohol. In the premises of administrators are old, but working computers, and in some wardrobes even clothes are hanging. But nobody is here. In general, I've already intrigued you enough. Enjoy watching!

From the translated advertising booklet:

The majestic hotel complex consists of two historic buildings built in 1852 and 1853, which were completely renovated in 1976 and 1979, inside, all interiors were repeatedly updated. In the middle of the 20th century, two more extensions were added. Two historical five-story palace-type buildings are interconnected by several levels and have a total area of 3.326 m2 and 3.154 m2, thus, the total area is 6480 m2.

At the Maribell, many celebrities spent their holidays. The first floors mainly consist of public space, on the upper floors are rooms and treatment rooms. All buildings are connected by a single corridor. In the basement is a restaurant with cuisine in the best rural traditions - Zirbenstube. The building has been wonderfully recreated with a classic manor interior with many details.

Check in at any time!

Near the hotel there is a functioning medieval church.

Through the open back entrance we get into the hotel building. What do the gilded doors hide?

All hotel windows are closed by curtains. The rooms are twilight and silence.

Original paintings of the surrounding Alpine landscapes hang on the walls.

Perhaps someone will not believe me that the hotel is completely abandoned. But here's a good example - in one of the suites, the wallpaper came off from moisture.

There's something about it…

The neighbor looks better.

Go down to the main hall of the building. The reception gracefully welcomes hotel guests.

Here is a small recreation area and meetings.

From the main hall of the hotel we go to the dining room.

Pompous and graceful.

From the dining room we get into the kitchen. There are two of them, one is home ...

The other is public.

At the other end of the “corridor-tunnel” is a laundry room.

White sheets are neatly folded on the shelves.

Let's go upstairs. We checked the light in the corridor - it works!

More luxury!

On a single corridor, which in this building, let's call it number one, is on the 3rd floor, and in the neighboring building number 2 - on the second because of a sharp difference in height. The second building is procedural.

Large and separate ...

You can lie in the healing water both in the pools and in the jacuzzi.

A neighboring door leads to the solarium.

Doctor's office. Even the jacket on the back is hanging.

The third building, like the first, residential.

View from the window.

We pass to the fourth building.

On the last flight begins a spiral staircase leading to the roof.

The interiors in the rooms can be generally divided into several color categories.

And now we come to the most interesting.

Bright, spacious and comfortable lounge. The directorate of the hotel was located here.

In the center of the room is a TV. In the drawers are board games.

And in a small bar that adjoins the hall, we found tens of liters of strong elite alcohol and beer. Unfortunately, 2 out of three bottles were spoiled. In this hotel we decided to stay for another day :)
