Chinese smart luggage trolley - all the pros and cons

Departed yesterday to Hong Kong from Chengdu airport (Sichuan province in mainland China). The city is small by Chinese standards - "only" 14 million people. But at their airport I stumbled upon an advanced luggage trolley with a built-in tablet.

Skeptics will ask: "Why do you need a tablet on such a cart?" But we all know what will happen to the skeptics ... Of course, the tablet shows important announcements and advertisements. But not only:

On the back of the tablet is a camera capable of reading a boarding pass.

He scanned it, and now the tablet is writing you information about your flight. Of course, at the moment when he knows what you are watching, most of the screen is occupied by advertisements. But in the lower part it is written when and from where the landing on your flight will take place.

Moreover, you can click on the button and the tablet will give you a map on how to get to the desired exit. He is smart enough to know which part of the terminal the trolley is currently located in, so it can even provide navigation!

The first thought that comes when he sees this: "That's cool, someday we will have it!"

But then, with a little thoughtfulness, you realize that this complex contraption solves a nonexistent problem. With normal navigation at the airport, finding the way to the gate is not difficult. And if it makes up for you, then you are unlikely to figure out how to use this tablet. And after a year or two, they will begin to fail, and then there will be bulky carts at the airport with unnecessary pieces of plastic on the handles.
