Crimea. Abnormally but fact

You can read about typical tourist places online, ask those who had a rest on the South Bank last summer, or just call a travel agency. What’s really cool is visiting places with a dark past and a little creepy present. And there are so many of them in Crimea.

I can’t say with pride that I managed to meet the ghost of a Scythian or an English officer who died during the Crimean War, but I heard about stories of this kind. Huge sea snakes, UFOs over the mountains and even acquaintance with ghosts. Any rumors circulate here.

Mangup Kale

This is a cave city near Sevastopol. It was built during the time of Byzantium to protect the northern borders of the peninsula. But I will not go down in history, but I will tell you about the ghost of the "Mangup boy." Archaeologists and tourists often watch his figure on top and hear crying. They say that it is difficult to look away from him and you want to go to the cliff.

According to legend, in the distant 1475, the Turks attacked Mangup. The young son of Prince Alexander knew that sultans of such captives as he were usually held hostage in the main palace of Seral and forcibly converted to Islam, so he threw himself from a cliff into the abyss. Since then, the ghost of a boy drives away strangers from his native land.

In October 1960, three guys went to see the ruins of an ancient city. They were not particularly lucky with the weather: it started to rain and the wind rose. They pitched the tent and were about to sleep, when suddenly from afar a cry was heard from children. As if a seven-year-old child roared in his voice. One of the guys went to see what was happening there, but never returned to the camp. A few days later, in the village of Zalesnoye (Bakhchisaray district), local residents discovered a tent in which a gray-haired young man sat and repeated: "He cries, he cries all the time!"

In addition, in the fall of 1966, two tourists disappeared on Mangup. Three days later, both were found alive. One - 4 kilometers from Mangup, in the vicinity of the village of Ternovka, the other - outside the village of Kuybyshevo (5.5 km from Mangup). Both do not remember and cannot explain how they ended up where they were found.

However, in recent years, children's cries supposedly stopped. They say that this is due to the child who was born on Mangup 5 years ago. According to legend, the soul of the "Mangup" boy moved into him ... Well, tin.

Cape Meganom

The cape is located in the southeast of the Crimea, between Feodosiya and Sudak. And this is a truly abnormal place. Even the ancient Greeks said that there is an entrance to the kingdom of the dead. It is believed that it was on Meganom that Odysseus met the one-eyed cyclops and, through the underground caves of Kara-Dag, which are visible at low tide, descended into this very kingdom of Hades.

The cape is also known as alien parking. Rumor has it that near him the Soviet military managed to knock down a plate of aliens. Eyewitnesses found a part of the aircraft, consisting of uncharted metal. The fragment, unfortunately, was seized by the KGB. And in general, until recently, Megan was a closed territory for tourists.

Yeni-Sala

The Yeni-Sala cave system is located in the village of Perevalnoye, and it was accidentally discovered by two teenagers in 1965. They say that in the underground passages the ancient Tauris made sacrifices. There, archaeologists found many animal bones. In the center of the lower hall there was once a stalagmite with a mountain goat skull erected on it, unfortunately destroyed by vandals.

Guides warn that in the dungeon you can meet ghosts. Locals, in turn, do not recommend going down at all, because the creatures that live in the caves are hungry (and whisper "Come to me, my charm," stretching out their thin arms or not thin ones).

Kara-Dag

The sleeping volcano Kara-Dag is known for marine life, which live at its foot. Herodotus also mentioned the monster of the Black Sea: "the monster, it seemed, looked like a snake, but it was extremely huge, had a mane, a tail, claws and claws and teeth like a shark, only huge."

In the time of Nicholas I there was real evidence of the existence of a creepy creature. An expedition of scientists directed by the emperor discovered an egg weighing 12 kg there. Unfortunately, nothing is known about the further fate of the find. Apparently, someone’s breakfast was valid :)

Also, in M. Bykova’s book “Legend for Adults. Thinking of a Secret Living Alive”, Maria Voloshina’s story is mentioned that in 1921 a note was published in a local Feodosia newspaper: a huge reptile appeared in the Kara-Dag mountain region and was sent to capture it company of the Red Army. How this story ended, the newspapers did not report. Maximilian Voloshin sent a newspaper clipping about the "reptile" to Mikhail Bulgakov, and it formed the basis of the story "Fatal Eggs".

Eyewitnesses observed the monster today, so I recommend that you carefully wet your legs in the sea!

Ayu-Dag

Bear Mountain is immersed in abnormal energy with its head. With the onset of darkness, there you can see the mermaids who dance, dance and sing songs. Some tourists talk about a wild desire to run away from this place, down to jumping off a cliff. Others, on the contrary, talk about places of power. At the top of Ayu-Dag is an ancient pagan temple in the form of a maze.

And here it was not without a UFO. In the 1990s, a flying saucer and three-meter aliens were seen over the mountain.
