This rabbit hole is the entrance to the 700-year-old secret network of caves built by the Templars!

At first glance, this hole looks like an ordinary rabbit hole, but in fact it is the entrance to Canton Caves, an underground shelter that is about 700 years old. Just like the one into which Alice fell, this hole leads to a magical wonderland, invisible to simple passers-by.

Located in the county of Shropshire (England), this ancient space belonged to the Knights Templar, a Catholic military order that gained authority and wealth while fighting in the Crusades.

Later, caves were used by druids, pagans, and secret religious sects, who were looking for a safe space for their ceremonies and rites. However, the caves were closed by landowners in 2012, as they were tired of the endless stream of visitors. However, photographer Michael Scott managed to get inside and capture this mythical place.

"If you didn’t know what was really there, you would simply pass by," says Michael. "They are located at a depth of probably less than a meter underground." 33-year-old Scott has presented some wonderful photos that really reflect the essence of these creepy caves.
