Varadero is Cuba's most popular resort and one of the largest in the Caribbean. It is located on the Ikakos Peninsula, which is connected to the island of Cuba by a long, long suspension bridge. Crossing it, you find yourself in a different Cuban reality, different from the life that remained on the other side.

This is the perfect place to switch. Get away from everything and everything and really rest. To give yourself the opportunity to get used to the extraordinary beauty around (although this, of course, is incredibly difficult), to defocus your eyes and put up with the fact that during your vacation there will be only sea, sun and sand. The most magical thing in Varadero - a little over twenty kilometers of luxurious beaches with fine, fine white sand, stretching along the ocean - a kind of paradise, almost torn from the island of Cuba. Some time ago, Varadero beach was recognized by UNESCO as one of the cleanest beaches in the world. Choose any one to your taste and remember that in Varadero there are quite wild places where you can only be together on the whole beach. If you want, you can even swim naked!

Varadero is ideal for beach vacations and diving, although here, of course, there are many other traditional entertainment for resorts: beach volleyball or football, boat trips on yachts, catamarans, sea and freshwater fishing, golf, tennis, a casino, dance classes or short excursions . What to see in Varadero

In the evening, after a day on the beach in the shade of royal and coconut palms, or spent under water, surrounded by curious fish and intricate corals, take a walk along the main street of the peninsula - Avenida Primera or along the edge of the sea, past endless hotels.

If you are not afraid of distances, ride a bike or scooter. For example, the Autopista Sur highway runs through the resort from edge to edge. For the most carefree, an excursion ride on a tourist bus along Varadero will be an excellent option. The most romantic should take note of the opportunity to ride in a horse-drawn cart.

If you want a little fun, go to Parque Retiro Josone Park. There is a small lake surrounded by trees and tropical flowers, on which you can enjoy a ride on a boat or catamaran, listening to the twittering of local birds. Girls will surely enjoy a camel ride, and kids will enjoy vibrant musical rides. Look at what local craftsmen sell here for souvenirs and crafts, and if you get hungry, you can have a bite to eat in one of the park's restaurants. In the evenings, Afro-Cuban dance shows are held in Retiro Hoson, which are then transferred to a night disco. This is a great chance to have an exciting evening!

In the center of the peninsula is a wonderful dolphinarium. If you have never swum and dived with dolphins, we highly recommend it - they are touching and gentle, you will like it! If you’re not ready for a swim yet, keep in mind that great shows featuring trained dolphins take place here four times a day.

There is in Varadero and something more unusual. For example, a visit to the local cave Cueva de Ambrosio (Cueva de Ambrosio) with cave paintings of pre-Colombian times can be one of the most memorable vacation moments.
