The photographer hid in the bushes and captured all the animals that came to the watering hole

Under the cover of night, everything looks more mysterious and frightening. The silence that a sharp sound breaks, a sudden flash and some howl - these are exactly the nights in the African savannah. Photographer Clint Ralph managed to capture all their mystery and magnificence.

He went to the Zimanga Lodge Nature Reserve in South Africa to photograph the local inhabitants. And he decided to do it under cover of night at the most wary moment for animals - when they go to a watering place. Clint found himself a wonderful place on the shore of a small pond right in the bushes and armed himself with a camera.

As soon as the stars darkened and the sky was strewn with stars, different animals began to come to the watering hole, as if in a fairy tale. And elephants, from the gigantic sizes of which they themselves feel unwell, and nervous hyenas, who are ready to flee from the slightest rustle, brought their cub and rhino to the watering hole. Despite their size, all of them moved silently and were very anxious, as wild animals were always waiting for an ambush. Fortunately, the ambush was only in the person of Ralph, who managed to be very close to the inhabitants of the savannah and photograph them, while not bothering at all.
