Kyoto has always been called the cultural capital of Japan. This is a stunningly beautiful and picturesque city, hosting thousands of tourists every year. In all its manifestations, Kyoto reflects the sophisticated Japanese taste and unique aesthetics. But it is especially visible in amazing traditional architecture. Photographer John Einarsen decided not to focus on palaces and temples popular with tourists, but on the most ordinary, but infinitely charming small houses that adorn the streets of Kyoto.
