Weapons, fast food and "miss beautiful buttocks": how Italy lived in the 80-90s

Photographer Pascal Beauvais documented the life of Rimini, one of the most famous Italian resorts, in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Then the existence was easy, pleasant and joyful. Everything was new and bright, but these times were far in the past.

Each summer of the 80s and 90s, Rimini gathered thousands of tourists from all over the world, who were ready to experience the "unbearable lightness of life" from their own experience. In those funny times, no one spoke of banking crises, and there was no euro yet. On all the channels owned by Silvio Berlusconi, sultry hosts were shown in tiny bikinis, and the funeral of the great Fellini was an event of national importance.

Beauvais photojournalist, who was living in Rimini at that time, captured all this summer madness and real Italian euphoria. Here is how it was.
