The bartender has been filming his clients for 10 years in the harshest drinking establishment in New York

The Terminal Bar, located near Times Square, has not existed for many years. Today, the premises of this famous institution is the office of the New York Times. However, once upon a time personalities hid and rested from their worries, whose lives can hardly be called prosperous and exemplary - girls of easy virtue, pimps, petty criminals, wanderers and representatives of various sexual minorities. There was a special atmosphere, to say nothing.

In the 70-80s, a certain Sheldon Nadelman worked as a bartender here. All these people who came to him to knock over a glass of something hot were not just a gray mass for a man. He was interested in their stories. They told him about their life in a city that never sleeps, and he poured and took pictures.

Nadelman’s pictures would never have been released if not for his son, who discovered them only after two decades. Stefan Nadelman realized that his father’s photos are a real historical asset and, having selected the brightest shots, presented them to us in the book 'Terminal Bar'.
