Where to swim in the summer in the Leningrad region

Here with places for swimming is much "more fun" than in the city.

And, oddly enough, the most pleasant and clean areas are located north of St. Petersburg.

A gentle entry into the water, sandy shores, in places with large boulders, a pure resinous spirit from pines growing nearby - in general, beautiful nature, which is nice to relax on.

Kalinin district

There are many reservoirs in the area, but they are mainly not for swimming, but for walking by the water and walking dogs. If you wish, you can take a walk and swim in Sosnovka, in a pond near Sosnovka or in the area of Murinsky Creek, where Murinsky Park is located.

Long Lake and Martynovsky Pond

The most decent ponds in the area. There is every opportunity to sunbathe, relax by the water, walk, walk animals, in general, to do any business related to the boardwalk in the fresh air.

Mirror Lake - A large lake with clear water and a sandy bottom. Drive along the Primorsky highway, then turn right in the village of Green Grove, then go straight ahead for about 10 km. From the Ring Road (intersection with the Primorsky highway) to the Green Grove, the road takes about an hour. Another 10-15 minutes before the entrance to the lake.

The beach is only on the territory of the camp of the same name, but in many places there is a sandy descent to the water. The forest road even allows low city sedans to drive almost to the shore.

Lake Ladoga, pos. Kokokarevo. There are many places for swimming in Ladoga. One of the most famous places is the beach of the village of Kokkarevo.

Drive along the Road of Life to the Torn Ring Monument, then to the right 2-3 km. It takes about an hour to go directly from the beach to the Udelnaya metro station. You can drive to the Ring Road in 35-40 minutes.

The beach in this place is sandy, the coastal strip is slightly narrower than on the Gulf of Finland. No worse than the sea, except for the meager infrastructure. Of the minuses - the water in Ladoga is colder than in forest ponds. It is best to swim in August or early September.

Big Simaginskoe lake, it is also “Beauty”. This is a large beautiful lake 3 km from Lake Druzhinnoye. You can get to Beauty both from Primorsky and from Vyborg highway. From KAD, the road will take an average of 30-40 minutes, but this time can increase three times if the traffic is completely dense.

The beach is sandy, not wide, in small fragments along the coast. "Highlight" - a steep sandy slope, which can be reached if you approach the lake on the left side. The water is quite clean and warm.

Copper Lake, Mednavodsk spill over Sertolovo. A beautiful pond in the village of the same name, two kilometers from the Sredne-Vyborg highway, about 10 km from the Ring Road. Landmark - turn right on Elizavetinka. To go from 15 to 30 minutes after passing the checkpoint in the Aspen Grove. Travel time depends on the size of the congestion in Sertolovo and in front of the Ring Road.

The beach is sandy, small. Many tourists prefer to stay in a small fishing line off the coast. The water is dark red, slightly oily. The terrain in the area of Medny is hilly, the road winds, the shoulders are small and uneven.

Lake Hepoyarvi, lake Kavgolovskoe. Popular large water bodies in the Toksovo region, but it is too close to Peter and the people there are a bit too much in fine weather. We drive along the Leningradskoye Highway, we turn to the main beaches, respectively, on Lesgaft Street (towards Kavgolovsky Lake) or along the Sanatorium (towards Hepoyarvi). There are country roads around the lakes - passing at a distance of 100-400 meters from the coastline. Sometimes you can spend more time looking for a parking space than getting to the lake. You can not dream of parking by the lake.

The water here is slightly peaty but clean.

In general, from experience, in the lakes of the Lena region you can swim almost everywhere. True, the water will most likely be peaty.
